The Observ scan is the part that makes the difference. It photographs beneath the surface of your skin and shows what’s actually going on: pigmentation that hasn’t surfaced yet, congestion, dehydration, sun damage from Sunshine Coast summers. Your therapist talks you through what she sees and builds your facial around it, then maps out where to go next. No guesswork, no pressure.

Is this really for new clients only?
Yes, this introductory price is for your first visit to MBS Aesthetics. It's designed to give you a proper first experience of the clinic and a full picture of your skin.
What is an Observ skin scan?
It's a skin imaging system that photographs your skin under different light modes, showing pigmentation, congestion, hydration and sun damage that aren't visible on the surface. Your therapist walks you through the images with you.
Will I be pushed into booking a course of treatments?
No. Your therapist will tell you honestly what your skin needs and what order she'd do it in, and then it's entirely up to you. Plenty of clients start with a facial every few months and nothing more.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Dermalogica facials adapt easily, and the scan means your therapist knows how reactive your skin is before she starts. Let us know when you book and we'll keep everything gentle.
Can I have this while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Usually yes. We simply leave out any ingredients that aren't recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, such as retinol and some stronger actives. Just mention it when you book.
