Book NowClearer, brighter, more even skin
Viora V20 IPL is our go to for skin that looks a bit tired, blotchy or uneven. It uses gentle pulses of light to target pigmentation, redness, flushing and broken capillaries, and to nudge the skin into making new collagen along the way.
For Sunshine Coast skin that’s seen plenty of sun, it’s a straightforward way to even out tone and bring back some clarity and glow. As with everything we do at MBS Aesthetics, your IPL plan starts with a proper assessment and your Observ scan, so we’re treating the right concerns at the right depth rather than guessing. It’s comfortable, there’s little to no downtime, and your skin looks clearer, brighter and more even as you work through a course.

Frequently asked questions
What does IPL photorejuvenation help with?
It’s well suited to pigmentation, sun damage, facial redness, flushing and broken capillaries, and it helps even out the overall tone of the skin.
What does IPL feel like?
Most people describe a quick, warm flick, a bit like a light elastic band snap. It’s easy to tolerate and there’s no recovery time, so it fits neatly around a busy day.
How is IPL different from laser?
IPL uses broad spectrum light to treat redness and surface pigment over a wider area, while lasers are more targeted. Your therapist will recommend whichever suits your skin, or a combination of both.
How many treatments will I need?
A course usually gives the most even, lasting result. We’ll tailor the number to your skin when we see you.
Can I have IPL if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. We don’t perform IPL during pregnancy or breastfeeding as a precaution, and pregnancy hormones can change how pigmentation behaves, so results are usually better once you’ve finished. We’ll plan your course for afterwards.
Are there any conditions that would mean I can’t have IPL?
Yes. IPL isn’t suitable on tanned or recently sun exposed skin, or on very deep skin tones, so timing matters. We’d also postpone or adjust for a light sensitive condition, medication that increases light sensitivity, recent roaccutane or isotretinoin, a cold sore or active infection in the area, or any active skin cancer. Your consultation and Observ scan help us confirm IPL is the right fit.
